Hevi Shikho

As the Principal Solicitor, Hevi has expanded her unique knowledge and legal skills by establishing her own private practice. Prior to running her own law firm, Hevi practiced as a senior immigration lawyer for 4 years with a number of law firms, which include major national firms in Australia.

Her practice is focused on advising and assisting clients to identify and resolve issues in relation to complex legal matters. She expertly assists her clients to resolve sensitive and emotional immigration and family law issues with efficiency and composure. Hevi has a depth of experience in a wide range of matters including immigration, family, commercial, government and administrative law.

Hevi has graduated from an extensive range of academic programs such as; Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Social Science (Criminal Justice), Graduate Certificate in Australian Immigration Law and Practice and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. Through her academic achievements she has become very passionate about achieving the best results for her clients and ensuring that individuals receive their legal entitlements.

Hevi has dedicated her entire legal career to helping individuals, families, and businesses struggling with immigration law problems. She is extremely passionate about international law, in particular, human rights, and wants to focus her legal career on fighting for justice and equality for underprivileged and marginalised people. Hevi has been traveling to Iraq for the past several years to assist non for profit organisations on refugee projects organised by United Nations. She is well-versed in speaking five languages and as a result able to liaise and communicate effectively with clients from different backgrounds.

She has represented refugees and asylum seekers from diverse backgrounds who have engaged Australia’s protection obligations under the Convention. Furthermore, she was very fortunate to have worked with the Immigration Advice and Application Assistance Scheme (IAAAS), an Australian Government project providing funding to qualified, independent immigration lawyers to deliver immigration advice and primary visa application assistance to people who arrived lawfully in Australia.

Selva Kina

Selva Kina holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and was admitted to the Australian Legal Profession in October 2018. Selva is currently a lawyer at our firm, practicing in a wide range of areas including intellectual property, commercial and criminal law.

Selva continuously ensures that each client has a positive experience with our firm and is greatly driven by her desire to assist individuals in having their voices heard. Selva’s experience has exposed her to many complex matters which has honed her legal and people skills to an impressive level of expertise.

Her ability to comprehend the complexities and nuances of each particular case in the context of criminal law provides her with an unparalleled ability to help her clients navigate the system as smoothly as possible.

Selva is dedicated to being honest with her clients and helping them to steer through the process of their legal matters. Selva makes it her primary concern to zealously advocate for her clients, but at the same time remain personable with people.
